Citadel Council

The primary ruling body of Citadel Space, the citadel council comprises of single majority-elected members from four species; asari, turian, salarian and human. Diplomats from all races bring issues to bare to the Citadel Council, and the four councilors, along with their various subsidiaries, will convene and reach a compromise, which will become the official ruling. Politically, the Council is fairly balanced, with a mild leaning to the left; the turians are extremely conservative, humans tending more towards the liberal, salarians tend to flip flop between siding with turians and humans, depending on the issue, as their short life spans make their view of the decision making process makes them less likely to sit and wait, and asari act as mediators between one side and the other, guiding the process towards compromise.
