Personality: Direct and to the point. Iliyana is not the type of person who minces words. In fact, she's gotten into trouble a lot for speaking her mind. While she can be quick to anger and words, that doesn't mean she's stupid or by any means the type who can't think a situation through, but don't get into an argument with her unless you're prepared for a debate.
Background: What's your characters upbringing? Their military/civilian background? Why were they chosen for the combat team posted aboard the Shanxi?
Iliyana was the spawn of a krogan and asari coupling which gave her a rather unique outlook on life. By unique, I generally mean strange. She diverged a small bit from regular asari society after joining the military early in her life and began thinking that the asari culture and that of many other cultures was simply not pragmatic enough and needed to be much more focused on individual tasks.
Though she was considered for Spectre status, she declined the invitation because she felt that being under the thumb of a council she didn't fully believe in was not a wise choice.

*Heal - Mends injuries on a target by tapping into their central nervous system and speeding up the body's own healing process on a micromolecular level. The target who is to be healed needs to be in touch-contact with Iliyana and the speed of the recovery depends on the severity of the wound.
