Pistols

Pistols are basic weapons useable by all classes. They are the most prolific weapon in the galaxy, seeing many private owners, both legally and otherwise, as well as being widely used by professionals. These are some example pistols for the Mass Effect universe. Feel free to use them or create your own.

The Predator is a basic, reliable pistol with decent accuracy and moderate stopping power. Easy to use, easy to mod, the Predator is a go-to weapon for many agencies and mercenary groups. Its lightweight, and doesn't come with any real targeting software, but many post-market kits are available.

The Carnifex heavy pistol is a sturdy, heavier weapon with greater stopping power than the Predator. Accuracy is good, but recoil is a problem. The inner works are a bit more complicated and modding is a bit more of a problem, but after market modifications are available.

The M-5 Phalanx is a heavily modified design based on the Predator's framework. It produces much more heat and recoil but it packs a massively increased punch. It comes standard with a laser to mark targets and range find for the weapon's targeting software which gently nudges the weapon onto the target for easier shooting.
