Turians Empty Turians

Post  Admin Tue Apr 12, 2011 10:01 pm

Most turians have markings painted onto their faces. These markings signify the city and/or colony of their birth; a hold-over from a large scale civil war that occurred throughout turian space before they came in contact with the citadel races. Because of this, a term for turians who are not to be trusted is 'bare faced.' Another turian idiom is 'like a house in an Invictus jungle,' which means something that sounds like a good idea only to the person who thought of it. This comes from the desert planet Invictus, which has a jungle belt wrapped around it's equator. The jungle was the original target for colonization but proved to be too difficult to overcome disease and predators. A burgeoning population lives in the deserts now. Turian names are old Roman-Latin or classical greek sounding, and they have a given name followed by a family name, much like humans.
